Sunnyside Academy is proud of its partnerships with:
Middlesbrough Schools Teaching Alliance
Staff and Governors from Sunnyside regularly attend training courses and information updates provided by our local Teaching Alliance. In 2014/15 we will be tutoring six courses for teachers and teaching assistants run by our expert staff who work with children who are visually impaired, hearing impaired or have considerable SEND.
Middlesbrough Hearing Impairment and Vision Impairment Peripatetic teams
Senior staff at Sunnyside have been commissioned by Middlesbrough Local Authority to provide management support to the above council services. Middlesbrough manage all of the peripatetic support for children in mainstream schools across the Tees Valley area.
We are committed to promoting positive mental health and well-being, working with muli-agencies and clinicians to offer a range of support across school.
We are supported by The Bungalow Partnership based at Rosewood Academy, which provides support and advice to children, their families and schools who are experiencing a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties.
We have a dedicated and well trained Pastoral team, who can sign-post specialist services.
